Home Schooling the Thrifty Way
I am thrifty to say the least, Some people will just call me cheap, but thrifty sounds better. I homeschool my children to give them a better education than I feel that the public schools could do. I don’t have the money to pay for expensive curriculum so I have to wing it. So far this has worked out better for me and my children, there are many resources online that will save you money and make lessons a breeze. You can find just about anything that you want and need to home school online. If you have a printer at home there really is no need to buy workbooks, as everything is freely available online for you to download and print.
There are many sites online that offer online games, and free multimedia learning with the online experience. There are even places that you can learn to do crafts, watch short movies, have a book read to you. It’s amazing what is available for you online that can help you with home schooling.
The only thing that I would highly recommend to purchase is Hooked on Phonics.
Hooked on Phonics will teach your children how to read at a younger age which will give them a total advantage over other children their age. With reading you can accomplish much more in life, but you need to have that basic reading skills to do it. While I may be thrifty, i will advise you to order Hooked on Phonics for your children to give then the great head start on education.
