Online Homeschool Classes Options

Some of the online schools that you can use and have your child learn from home online. These are usually for high school students but there are a few for younger students. Some of the online resources will offer free tuition if you live in certain states, and some you will have to pay.

Things to look for in a Home School that is online:

Rates:

The rates vary from one online home school option to another. You will want to check out the rates.

Accreditation:

You will want to make sure they are accredited.

Supplies:

Are books included in the tuition prices? What about work sheets? Do they offer everything that you need to complete the studies?

Time Frame:

Do they have time frames on when work is needed to be done? Do they have schedules for the students or are the students self paced.

Refunds:

If your children find that this isn’t for them, can you get a refund?

Testing:

Do they do yearly testing to see the progress of your student? Is that additional fees?

K12 - Check out  here for a list of states that offer online classes. Since these are part of the public school system these are offered tuition free for the students. Each state has different classes, and different requirements. You will want to read through and find out which one will work for you.

If you don’t live in these states you can always sign up for online classes through this website. This site has many options that you can choose online classes.

IQ Academy Offers online classes for Arizona, Kansas, Minnesota, Nevada, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin residents. Each one has different requirements and only Texas offers grade school, grades 3-8. The others offer 6-12 and 7-12 with South Carolina offering 9-12 grade classes only. They look like free classes if you live in these states.

Florida virtual school. They have high school courses for residents outside of the state of Florida. There is tuition, they offer math, health, foreign language and others. They have advance classes, and classes for middle and high school students. If you live in Florida you can attend the online classes for free. They have a step by step sign up for homeschoolers that make it easy to sign up.

Keystone School Online is about $1500 and more can pick and choose classes – each class has different prices. Classes come with workbooks that are printed, and certified middle school teachers. Core classes starting about $375 each. Elective courses are $280 approx.

Missouri Online School

You can buy your material through them on online. This is all distance learning for high schoolers. Over 180 different courses. Also Elementary school classes. You don’t have to live in Missouri to attend this class.
