You can be successful having your child using online home school. There are many sites that offer full courses online that you can use for home schooling.

Sometimes you can use the internet as part of your home school curriculum. The internet is a great tool to use as part of your home school curriculum no matter if you teach solely off the Internet or just use the internet as a tool.
Computers have become such a part of our lives that the earlier that you learn how to research online and to use a computer the further ahead you will get in life. No matter what you want to do in life, there will probably be a computer involved. Teaching your child how to use a computer early in life will make learning things more fun and easier for them later in life.  There are also many job opportunities for them if they are computer savvy.
When you use online home school, they will not only learn how to use the internet but also how to use the computer. This will increase their typing skills, research skills, and learning skills. With the internet if you are researching, you will have to think about other options about what you are searching for to actually find all the information that you need to find what you did. One example would be if you were looking to answer a question, like are bears common in Florida. You will want to then search to see what type of bears are common in Florida, and where they live in Florida. What do they eat when they live in Florida. So you can see that one question can get the student thinking about other facts that they want to know about bears living in Florida.
You also have the option of doing your entire home school online. There are many sites that offer the entire course online. Even college courses online can be found. There are some states that will offer home school online courses and if you live in one of these states your child can participate with the home school online programs. Some of these states will offer these for free. The only drawback is keeping your child motivated to complete the online studies.
I have found the best way to home school is to teach them, and to use the Internet as a tool only. I have taken online classes, and you really have to stay motivated to complete the assignments, and I don’t feel that I learned as well as I would of if I would have taken the actual class with a teacher. When you have questions and doing your studies online, it will take you hours or days to get a clarification for that question, and you may be stopped at that point until you get the answer to your question.
If you are going to use online home schooling, you will want to monitor your child’s progress to make sure that they are completing their assignments on time.  Make sure that you pay close attention to their assignments and keep checking on it so that you are sure that they are learning the material.
Students will need to use the Internet throughout life. Home school online gives them the groundwork that they will need to learn about computers and researching online. This will only benefit them in the future.
